Dowell J. Howard Center Lighting Replacement

Grounded Electrical Construction has been awarded the contract to replace the existing fluorescent lighting in the Dowell J. Howard Vocational School located in Frederick County, VA with new LED light fixtures.. The scope of work includes providing new light fixtures for shops, classrooms, hallways and administration areas. The project also includes adding occupancy sensors in select areas to improve energy efficiency. Emergency lighting and exit signs are also being replaced as part of this contract. The school will remain open during construction, and is being completed in phases which will require close coordination with the school’s principal, the county construction management team and the Architect. The estimated project completion is December 2021.
